Debt and the Deficit

The debt is what we currently owe.  The deficit is how much we owe grows each year.  Congress just voted to increase the deficit by almost quadruple!  If we didn't have a debt problem before, we sure will now.  It is absolutely astonishing anyone in their right mind would be for this.  But I guess that is what you get when you vote for your donors instead of the people of the United State of America.

I promise I will always work towards bringing down our debt, and making not just a balanced budget, but a budget that turns that deficit into a surplus.  If you can't bring down spending, you raise taxes.  If you can't raise taxes, you bring down spending.  I mean, we can all add and subtract.  It's not really that hard.

Here's the other thing, while they decided to raise the deficit (and hence our debt), they did it by lowering taxes on the rich and raising them on the poor.  What kind of numb-skull does that? Now I know that sounds rude, but we have people that are in poverty trying to find food, living on the streets.  And they want to give more money away to the rich while laying the debt on the backs of middle America?  Come on man.  This make me so mad.  It's beyond the bounds of decency and common sense.
